Statement of Faith
I have read and affirm ABC’s Doctrinal Statement. If there are any points with which I have questions, reservations, or disagreement, I agree to disclose and discuss them openly during my membership interview.
Should I be received into membership with such differences, I agree not to teach, promote, or advocate views contrary to the church’s Statement of Faith, but to preserve the peace, unity, and purity of the church.
Upon Departure
Should I move from ABC, I will, as soon as possible, unite with another church where I can live out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
I will not leave ABC without first informing the elders of my intention to depart. If I leave without communicating with the elders, I understand that ABC may contact me to ensure that I have united with a sound, biblical church.
If I refuse, fail to do so, or refuse to communicate with the elders, I understand that, because I remain accountable to ABC, the elders may lovingly pursue me through the process of church discipline.
